Sixteen students from the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), accompanied by their Professor David Smith, visited Kids First Village from May 26 to June 4, 2008. The students worked on the grounds of the village cleaning, racking rocks, and planting trees. The students also did a surprise "helping project" to 3 poor families. The students purchased food and household items at the local Dong Ha market and delivered them personally to the families. Many tears were shed by both students and the local families being appreciative of the student's generosity. This is the second trip by students from the University of Michigan to the KFV Village. The students created some remarkable murals at the village while they were there reflecting artistically their impressions of their experiences there.
